Stormwater Pond & Retention Basin Repair — SC & NC

When your stormwater system has a problem, it doesn't get better on its own. We diagnose it, fix it right, and document every step — so you're protected and your system performs when it needs to.

Stormwater Problems Don't Fix Themselves

Stormwater Problems Don't Fix Themselves

A stormwater system in disrepair isn't just a maintenance issue — it's a liability. Failing slopes erode into your pond and reduce storage capacity. Damaged outlet structures don't control flow the way they're designed to. Sediment buildup turns a 10-year pond into a 3-year problem. And all of it moves up the regulatory priority list the longer it goes unaddressed.

We've seen what deferred maintenance looks like. We've also seen what it costs compared to what it would've cost if someone had caught it early.

When your system needs repair — whether it's a single structure or a full rehabilitation — Carolina Outdoor Services has the knowledge, equipment, and experience to fix it properly. We don't patch. We repair.

What We Repair

What We Repair

🌿 Sediment Removal & Pond Cleanout

Sediment accumulation is the most common long-term threat to retention pond function. As sediment builds up, your pond loses storage capacity — until it can no longer meet the stormwater management requirements of your permit. We excavate and remove accumulated sediment to restore your pond to design capacity.

🌿 Slope & Berm Erosion Repair

Eroding slopes and failing berms are both a compliance issue and a structural risk. We stabilize and restore eroded banks, slopes, and berms — using appropriate fill, grading, and vegetative stabilization to make the repair last.

🌿 Sinkhole Detection & Repair

Sinkholes and subsidence near stormwater structures are a sign of internal erosion or pipe failure beneath the surface. We identify the source and repair it before a minor void becomes a major structural failure.

🌿 Brush Cutting & Heavy Clearing

When routine vegetation management hasn't kept up, overgrown pond banks require heavy clearing before normal maintenance can resume. We handle aggressive brush cutting and woody vegetation removal from pond banks and

access areas.

🌿 Outlet Structure Repair & Replacement

The outlet structure is the most critical component of your retention pond. Damaged risers, clogged trash racks, failed weirs, and deteriorated control devices don't just cause compliance issues — they put your entire stormwater system at risk. We repair and replace outlet structures in-house.

🌿 Stormwater Pipe Repair & Installation

Cracked, collapsed, or blocked conveyance pipes need to be addressed before they cause surface failures or upstream flooding. We inspect, repair, and replace stormwater pipes as needed.

🌿 Hydro-Seeding for Erosion Control

Disturbed slopes, repaired berms, and newly graded areas need vegetative cover quickly to prevent re-erosion. Hydro-seeding is the fastest and most cost-effective way to establish that cover.

How Our Repair Process Works

How Our Repair Process Works

Step 1 - Site Assessment

We walk your property and assess the full scope of the issue. We identify the root cause — not just the symptom — and give you a clear, honest picture of what needs to be done and what it will take.

Step 2 - Repair Plan & Proposal

You receive a written proposal with scope, approach, and pricing. No surprises. No add-ons after the work starts.

Step 3 - Repair Execution

Our team handles the repair in-house with our own equipment and crew. We don't subcontract your stormwater repair to a general contractor who's never worked on a BMP system.

Step 4 - Documentation

After every repair, we provide documentation of what was done — photos, scope summary, and recommendations for ongoing maintenance to prevent recurrence.
